$1.6 million Tapit colt tops OBS March sale

A colt by Tapit brought $1.6 million at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. selected sale of 2-year-olds in training March 11, the co-highest price of the one-day auction.

Consigned by Eddie Woods, agent, and cataloged as hip No. 350, the colt is a full brother to dual Grade 1 winner Zazu and Grade 2 Robert B. Lewis S. winner Flashback. He out of the winning Mr. Greeley mare Rhumb Line, who has produced two other winners from five to race.

The gray or roan colt was bred in Kentucky by SF Bloodstock. The winning bidder was Bradley Weisbord for Al Shaqab Racing.
