La Gran Bailadora rolled to a three length victory in the $50,000 My Charmer S. at Turfway Park on Dec. 10, giving the 4-year-old daughter of Afleet Alex her third stakes win at the northern Kentucky track, including a win in the Grade 3 Kentucky Cup Distaff in September.
Afleet Alex is a top-five third-crop sire, with $4.1 million in progeny earnings this year. His leading earner of 2011 is Afleet Again, winner of the Grade 2 Breeders' Cup Marathon.
La Gran Bailadora came from sixth after a half-mile to capture the 1 1/16-mile My Charmer, going four wide into the stretch to draw off in the final furlong.
The winner, bred and owned by Tracy Farmer, is now 6-4-4 in 22 starts, with a bankroll of $319,206. She is out of Affirmed Dancer, who also won the My Charmer and placed in three other stakes.
