Champion Orientate got his latest stakes winner on July 19th when Orientate Express drew off to an impressive 3 ¾-length victory in the $51,000 Omaha S. Horsemen’s Park.

Orientate Express stalked the early pace before forging to the lead at the quarter pole and powerfully drawing clear in the stretch, hitting the wire in hand in the one-mile event. The final time was 1:37.80 over a fast local dirt track.

Trained by Kelly Von Hemel, Orientate Express owns a record of 4-4-1 from a dozen starts, and Sunday he moved his career earnings to $116,405 for owner Prairie Lane Farms LLC. A 4-year-old bay, Orientate Express is out of the River Special mare Waterwild. He was bred in Kentucky by Kidder, Griggs & J & J Mamakos and was a $40,000 Gainesway Sales graduate at the 2006 Keeneland September yearling sale.
