Champion becomes 33rd SH of 2010 for Tapit

Champion As de Trebol made a successful return to the races on December 9th, running second in the $72,739 Prix Luthier over 1500 meters at Deauville.

The Champion Two-Year-Old Colt of 2008 in Spain, As de Trebol is from the first crop by Tapit, and becomes the 33rd stakes performer of 2010 for the Champion Sire.

Tapit ranks among the top 15 leading sires of 2010, with $7-million in progeny earnings. He is also the Leading Third Crop sire lifetime by stakes winners (25), Graded stakes winners (10), and Graded stakes horses (21), and is the co-leader by Grade 1 winners (5).

He will stand his fifth consecutive season at Gainesway in 2011.
