Muppet Man, a two-year-old colt by Corinthian, shot to the lead and never looked back in his debut [VIDEO], winning by 3 ¾ lengths July 1 at Arlington Park.

Sent off at odds of 9-2, the promising colt was urged to the front, shifted inside and drew off in the stretch.

Bred in Kentucky by his owner, Curtis C. Green, Muppet Man hails from the Touch Gold mare, Wild Crazy Lady.  He is trained by James P. Divito.

Corinthian, by Pulpit, is a leading North American second-crop sire with 26 winners. He won the two most prestigious dirt-mile races in the world: $1 million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile by 6 1/2 lengths and $600,000 Metropolitan H. (G1).

Corinthian has four yearlings consigned to next week’s Fasig-Tipton July sale:

Hip# 255  C   Corinthian - Kiawah Queen (Lord at War(ARG))
