Run for Love made short work of a field of 3-year-old maiden fillies Mar. 2 at Mountaineer, rolling to an 11-length victory in the five furlong contest. The chestnut daughter of Corinthian was bred in Kentucky by his owner Ron McCauley.

Second-crop sire Corinthian has started off 2012 in fine fashion and is currently fifth among sires of his generation, with $366,695 in progeny earnings.

McCauley bred Run for Love from the Colonial Affair mare Lily's Affair, who won or placed in 15 stakes in a stellar career, earning $543,971. Her dam, Top Corsage, bankrolled $1.1 million, topped by a win in Keeneland's Grade 1 Spinster S.
