First-crop sire Corinthian notched winner number nine on Oct. 22 when Cheerful Heart cruised to a two length win in her second start on Woodbine's Polytrack.

Corinthian has moved into the sixth spot among all freshman sires with $468,792 in progeny earnings, led by NATC Futurity S. winner Hunt Crossing.

Cheerful Heart is now 1-0-1 in two starts, with $39,159 in earnings. The bay 2-year-old filly is trained by Mark Casse and owned by John Oxley, who paid $320,000 for her at this April's OBS Spring 2-year-old sale. She was the highest-priced filly at the sale and third-highest overall.

Cheerful Heart is the first filly out of Glacken's Mark, winner of the Irish Sonnet S. and White Clay Creek S.
