A pair of 2-year-old colts by Corinthian completed the exacta in a five furlong maiden special weight race Aug. 3 at Saratoga, with the victor Hunt Crossing giving the first crop sire his second winner of the season (VIDEO).

Hunt Crossing, the overwhelming 1-2 favorite, broke a little greenly, but soon picked up the duel with eventual second place finisher One Slick Dude. The two Corinthian colts pulled away from the field in the stretch, with Hunt Crossing getting the better of the battle in the final furlong to win by four lengths in :58.41. One Slick Dude was 3 1/4-lengths clear of the third place finisher.

Bred in Kentucky by Mount Joy Stable, Hunt Crossing was bought by his current owned Dell Ennis for $150,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October select yearling sale in 2010. The bay colt is the third winner from as many foals out of Silver Lace, who won or placed in five stakes in her career.
