Five Tapit yearlings top $250K at Keeneland Day 1

Monday, September 09, 2013 | Tapit
The Tapit offerings were some of the top sellers during first day of the 2013 Keeneland September Yearling sale, with five youngsters bringing at least $250,000.

Leading the way was hip No. 199, whose sale price of $625,000 made the gray or roan colt one of the top 10 prices of the session. The colt, consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds and bought by Stonestreet Stables, is a full brother to Grade 2 Pocahontas S. winner Dancinginherdreams.

Dromoland Farm sold a pair of Tapit colts, with hip No. 219 bringing $375,000, while hip No. 34 went for $350,000. Hip No. 130 went to trainer Jerry Hollendorfer for $300,000, while Gainesway consigned hip No. 131, who went to Fox Hill Farm for $260,000.
