Gainesway consigned Rhumb Line brings $850K at Kee

Rhumb Line, a 11-year-old daughter of Mr. Greeley, sold for $850,000 at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale. Mr. Greeley, who stood at Gainesway, passed away in Nov., 2010 at the age of 18.

Rhumb Line was offered as hip No. 423 during day two of the Nov. 7-17 sale. She is the dam of the 3-year-old filly Zazu, a daughter of Gainesway stallion Tapit and winner of the Grade 1 Las Virgenes S. and Grade 2 Hollywood Oaks. Rhumb Line is also in foal to Tapit.

The winning bidder was Bowden Global Equine.

After the first two days of the sale, Gainesway was the fourth-leading consignor by average price at $483,333 and also in the top ten by gross sales and median price.
