Informed Decision, a 2006 Gainesway yearling graduate, captured her first career Grade 1 victory when the 4-year-old gray filly rallied to defeat reigning Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint winner Ventura in the $300,000 Madison S. (G1) on April 9th at Keeneland.

Ridden by John Velazquez, Informed Decision showed her affinity for the local Polytrack, making it 3-for-3 at Keeneland with her head score in the Madison. She ended her 3-year-old campaign last fall with a flashy win in the Raven Run (G2) at Keeneland.

Trained by Jonathan Sheppard for Augustin Stable, Informed Decision ran her impressive record to six wins from eight starts with earnings of $522,587. Gainesway consigned the filly at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Summer Yearling Sale for $150,000.
