Gainesway grad sets course record in stakes win

Boots Ahead, a 2007 Gainesway Sales graduate, established a new course record over the Monmouth Park turf on Sept. 2nd, drawing off to an eye-catching 6 ¼-length win in the $65,000 Restoration S. in a swift 1:40.23 for 1 1/16-miles.

A chestnut son of Storm Boot out of the Miswaki mare Mostbeautifulsound, the 3-year-old Boots Ahead was bred in Kentucky by Dr. Hiram Polk & Dr. J. David Richardson. Gainesway sold him as a yearling for $90,000 at Keeneland September to current owner Agnes Peace. George Weaver trains Boots Ahead, who is 2-1-0 from seven starts with earnings of $78,212.
