With yearling sales of nearly $13,000,000, Gainesway concluded the bellwether Keeneland September Sale as the third leading consignor by gross.
During the 14-day venue, Gainesway sold 153 yearlings for $12,944,900, an average of $84,607—best of any consignor with more than 40 yearlings sold. Gainesway also sold an outstanding 85.96% of all yearlings offered (153 of 178), far and away the best percentage of any consignor with at least 40 yearlings sold.
Gainesway yearlings further out-performed the sale average by 30%—$84,607 versus $64,811. And during the Select evening sessions in Book 1, Gainesway’s nine yearlings averaged $330,000, second best among all consignors with 5 or more sold.
