Try Twice was all by himself at the finish of the Classic Turf Club Tandil S. to give his sire Hat Trick his seventh stakes horse of the year.

Try Twice, a September, 2010 foal, is undefeated in two starts after the nine length victory in the 5 1/2-furlong contest. He got the distance in 1:06.39 over the sloppy going at the Hippodrome de La Plata in Argentina.

Hat Trick's impressive list of stakes winners this year have come at Belmont Park, Santa Anita Park, Prairie Meadows, as well as in South America. One of the highlights of the 2013 racing season came when Bright Thought, a 4-year-old colt, set a world record of 2:22.72 for a mile and a half on the turf in the San Luis Rey S. (G2) at Santa Anita.
