Graded stakes-winning 3-year-old Howe Great earned his third stakes victory of the year with a decisive win in the $60,000 Jersey Derby [VIDEO] at Monmouth on July 21.

The attractive dark bay son of Hat Track (Jpn) showed his explosive turn of foot in the stretch to overwhelm his rivals in the Jersey Derby, winning the 1 1/16-mile event by a length-and-a-quarter on the wire.

Earlier this season, Howe Great won the Palm Beach S. (G3) at Gulfstream over Grade 1 winner Dullahan. Bred and owned by Team Valor, the genuine colt owns a record of 5-2-1 from nine starts with earnings of $322,153.
