Orientate's 2-year-old daughter Little Widow Maker won her third stakes of the season, defeating colts in the Winnipeg Futurity at Assiniboia Downs on Sept. 18th. She is one of three juvenile stakes horses this year, 13 overall stakes horses, by the Gainesway stallion.

Little Widow Maker won the six-furlong Futurity by a neck in a three-way photo, closing from fourth place to get the victory as the even-money favorite. The dark bay or brown filly has been a model of consistency in her young career. She has a record of 5-3-2-0, including a last-out win in the Osiris Stakes, and a maiden-breaking stakes win in the Debutante Stakes, both at Assiniboia Downs.

Bred in Kentucky by Adena Springs, Little Widow Maker is out of the Awesome Again mare, In Love Again. She is owned by Terry Propps, who bought her out of the 2009 Texas December mixed sale. She is trained by Charles E. Smith.

Champion Orientate is a leading General Sire and Juvenile Sire this year. He has 11 two-year-old winners and over $420,000 in juvenile earnings, and 102 winners and over $3,800,000 overall.
