Mr. Greeley filly becomes sixth SW of year

Monday, October 12, 2009 |
Mr. Greeley picked up his sixth stakes winner of the season when his 3-year-old daughter Miss Catalyst defeated the previously unbeaten Breeders’ Cup winner Maram in the $100,000 Pebbles S. on Oct. 12th at Belmont.

The flashy chestnut filly stopped the clock in 1:34.18 over firm ground following a determined stretch drive in the one-mile event. It was the first stakes win for Miss Catalyst, who is trained by Todd Pletcher. She moved her record to 3-3-1 from nine starts with earnings of $162,340 for owner and breeder Gulf Coast Farms and Arianne De Kwiatkowski.
