A dark bay or brown filly by the Gainesway stallion Orientate worked the fastest eighth-mile at the OBS 2-year-old March Selected sale under tack show, stopping the teletimer in a swift :10 1/5 seconds. The filly is scheduled to sell on Mar. 16, during the first session of the two-day event.

Champion Orientate is already the sire of six stakes horses in 2010, including Greenspring, who won the seven furlong General George H. (G2) at Laurel in track-record time of 1:20.95.

Cataloged at OBS as hip No. 104 and consigned by Nick de Meric, Agent, the filly is out of Energise, by Woodman, and is a half sister to stakes placed Cherokee Path.

Due to inclement weather late last week, the OBS March sale begins with a starting time now scheduled for 2 p.m. Tues., Mar. 16.
