Orientate gets seventh stakes winner of 2012

Little Polka Dot got her ninth career win with a gutsy one-length score in the $70,000 Lookout S. Dec. 28 at Delta Downs. The 6-year-old Orientate mare has racked up $433,771 in career earnings, with three stakes wins to her credit.

Orientate has an impressive 121 winners in 2012, with $4,511,272 in progeny earnings. His fee for the 2013 season at Gainesway is $6,500 LFS&N.

In the one-mile Lookout, Little Polka Dot stalked the pace set by Menascott for the first six furlongs, forged to the front at the top of the stretch, then held off the late charge of A Runnin Pop to secure the victory.

Little Polka Dot, owned by by Coteau Grove Farms LLC, is now 9-7-6 in 29 starts. Bred by Southern Equine Stables, LLC, she is out of the stakes-winning mare Silky Oaks.
