Little Polka Dot led at every point of call on the way to a 1 3/4-length victory in the $53,210 Unbridled Sidney S. at Churchill Downs on May 14 (

The win was the first career stakes victory for Little Polka Dot, who was third in the $100,000 Louisiana Ladies at Fair Grounds in December. In the Unbridled Sidney, she went right to the front from her rail post, dueling for the lead while facing several challenges through the first half-mile, but she had enough left to edge clear under a strong hand ride from Shaun Bridgmohan. The final time of :57.34 seconds was less than a second off the track record.
The victory was worth $31,860 to Little Polka Dot, bred in Louisiana by Southern Equine Stables and is out of the Regal Intention stakes-winning mare Silky Oaks. Little Polka Dot raised her overall record to 15-6-1-4 with earnings of $207,999.
