Gainesway sales graduate One Caroline has been the headliner among Gainesway alums – and quite possibly the headliner of the meet – to shine this winter in south Florida at Gulfstream Park, as the undefeated daughter of Unbridled’s Song has reeled off three straight wins locally, including her latest in the form of a 6 ½-length romp in the Rampart (G2) on March 29th.

An imposing gray filly, One Caroline, now four, is a perfect 5-for-5 by a combined 22 lengths and has asserted herself as one of the top distaffers in the land. In the Rampart, she ran the field off their feet from the opening bell, winning handily in 1:48.88 for 1 1/8 miles over a good main track. The performance earned her a 104 Beyer Speed Figure, which came on the heels of the 102 Beyer she earned while winning the Sabin (G3) in her previous start in February.

Gainesway sold One Caroline as a yearling at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Sale for $400,000 to current owner G. Watts Humphrey Jr. Bred by Payson Stud, the brilliant filly is trained by Rusty Arnold. One Caroline has earned $226,396 to date.

Another important Gainesway sales graduate to emerge recently at Gulfstream was the impressive debut winner Kinsella, a $2.2 million sale topper at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Sale for yearlings.

Kinsella, by Gainesway stallion Mr. Greeley, was purchased by Team Valor at the sale, and the attractive chestnut wore the famous green and red silks to victory in his first start on March 14th. Ridden by Chris DeCarlo for trainer Todd Pletcher, Kinsella overcame a slow start and last-place position early on to pass 11 horses with an impressive wide run and prevail by three-quarters of a length at the wire in the maiden special weight affair.

Out of the King of Kings (Ire) mare Win My Heart, Kinsella was bred by Liberation Farm & Oratis.
