The two-year-old son of Smoke Glacken broke first from the 9-hole in the maiden special event at Evangeline Downs, but immediately seized the lead. Speeding fractions of :22.26 and :45.19, he widenend his advantage at every call, drawing off to a 12 1/2 length victory at the wire. Final time of :51.49 broke the track record, which was set 10 years ago.
