Greeley’s Conquest, a 5-year-old stakes veteran by leading sire Mr. Greeley, captured his fourth stakes victory on August 22nd when he out-sprinted graded stakes winners Sing Baby Sing and Ravalo to prove best in the $200,000 Remington Park Sprint Cup S., stopping the clock in serious racehorse time – 1:08.79.
Ridden by Jamie Theriot, Greeley’s Conquest stalked favored pacesetter Ez Dreamer before pouncing on that rival on the far turn and opening up on the field turning for home. He held Sing Baby Sing and Ravalo safe at the wire to win by a half-length.
Greeley’s Conquest improved his record to seven wins from 21 starts with earnings of $444,533 for trainer Gary Thomas and the ownership of the Millard R. Seldin Revocable Trust. The classy dark bay hails from the Raise a Cup mare Tipsy Girl and was bred in Kentucky by Liberation Farm & Oratis Thoroughbreds.
