One Smokin' Lady and Sweet Relish – two stakes-winning fillies by Smoke Glacken – finished first and third, respectively, in the $60,000 Spring Fever S. at Oaklawn Park Feb. 20.

One Smokin' Lady was making her third start of the meet following a pair of runner-up efforts. In the Spring Fever, she dueled with Palanka City, winner of the 2009 Spring Fever, through swift fractions, but put that foe away at the top of the stretch and cruised home to at 4 1/4-length victory in a very quick 1:03.62, just a second off the track record and 1/5 of a second off the stakes record. The performance was good enough to earn her a career-high 95 Beyer Speed Figure.

One Smokin' Lady now boasts a career mark of four wins, two seconds and three thirds from 10 starts with earnings of $181,120 for owner Cash is King LLC and trainer Tim Ritchey - the owner/trainer combination who teamed-up to campaign the dual Classic-winning champion and current top Gainesway freshman sire, Afleet Alex. The gray filly was purchased for $160,000 by Gainesway Bloodstock as agent for Cash is King LLC at the 2007 Keeneland September Sale.

Earlier in the week, a Smoke Glacken 2-year-old filly sold for $120,000 at OBS February Select, with Buzz Chace signing the ticket for West Point Thoroughbreds.

Racehorse sire Smoke Glacken is value-priced at $12,500, live foal stands and nurses.
