Summers Peace 24th stakes winner for Orientate

Orientate's Summers Peace became the 24th stakes winner for her sire on June 12, with a convincing win in the $50,000 Washington State Legislators H. at Emerald Downs.

The dark bay 5-year-old defeated 10 other fillies in the 6 1/2-furlong main track contest by a widening 3 1/4-lengths, after taking over the top spot about half way through the race. She stopped the clock in 1:16.29.

Bred in Kentucky by D. C. Goff, Summers Peace, sold for $40,000 at the 2007  Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Multiple stakes placed as a 3-year-old, Summers Peace improved her mark to 4-5-4 in 20 starts, with earnings of $153,374 for owner Linden Trust.
