Dancinginherdreams turned in another dominating performance to win the $165,450 Pocahontas S. (G2) (VIDEO) on Oct. 31 at Churchill Downs. The 2-year-old daughter of Tapit looked just as good as she did breaking her maiden at Keeneland in her debut three weeks ago.

A gray/roan like her sire, Dancinginherdreams was sixth of seven runners after two furlongs of the one-mile race on the main track. Rider Julien Leparoux waited patiently around the turn, as his filly passed foes on her own accord, without encouragement. Leparoux moved to the inside at the head of the stretch, and with just a nudge, Dancinginherdreams accelerated instantly, opening up several lengths in a matter of strides. Despite being geared down late, she still increased her margin to 5 1/4-lengths at the wire. Final time was 1:38 2/5, the same run by colts in the Iroquois S. (G3) just two races earlier on the Churchill card.

With two stunning outings, the media were effusive in their praise, while her connections remained understated about their star filly.

"She ran good," Leparoux said. "I was in tight and she had a great pull; she does everything good."

Winning trainer John Ward added, "That's the way she trains in the morning, so to see her come back and do it in the afternoon is pretty good. I thought the racetrack was very difficult today, but she obviously overcomes what's in front of her. I wouldn't call it easy, but she handled everything well. We will see her again in Florida," Ward said. "But that's what you're looking for and I think she will run as far you want her to go."

Bred in Kentucky by Nancy Shuford, Dancinginherdreams has now earned $124,529 in two starts. She races for John Oxley, who purchased her for $330,000 at the 2009 Keeneland September yearling sale. WATCH the video of Dancinginherdreams crush the field by a widening six lengths in her stunning debut Oct. 10 at Keenland.

Two-time Champion Sire Tapit is once again the nation's leading sire of 2-year-olds, with 22 winners, 5 stakes winners, 9 stakes horses, and more than $1.3 million in progeny earnings.
