Tapit registered his 22nd stakes horse of 2010 with Joyful Victory's third place finish in the Grade 1 Frizette Oct. 9 at Belmont Park. The 2-year-old filly came into the Frizette off a sharp maiden score Sept. 11 at Delaware Park.

Bred in Canada by William Graham, Joyful Victory was purchased by Rick Porter's Fox Hill Farm at auction this past February for $400,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Florida select sale. She has now earned $65,100 in her two starts.

Joyful Victory is out of the winning mare Wild Lucy Black, who has previously produced three winners from four starters. The extended family includes 2-year-old champion colt Roving Boy.

Tapit leads all juvenile sires in the nation by earnings with more than $900,000 and six 2-year-old stakes horses, topped by Darley Debutante (G1) winner Tell a Kelly. The two-time Champion Sire ranks #16 overall in North America, with well over $5,200,000 in worldwide earnings, and also holds the third spot on the third-crop sire list.
