Texas Birdstone, a two-year-old colt from the first crop of his sire BIRDSTONE, gave that stallion his second stakes winner in the last two weeks when he scored a wire-to-wire win in the six-furlong Razorback Futurity at Louisiana Downs on October 11.

The bay colt led throughout the $50,000 event and drew out to a seven-length win for jockey Donnie Meche and trainer Steve Asmussen. It was the third career start for Texas Birdstone, who races for his owner/breeder Richard P. Hogue, Jr.
