Lightlightlight, an aptly-named 3-year-old filly by Gainesway stallion Whywhywhy, collected her first career stakes victory on May 16th in the $50,000 Fantasia S. at Louisiana Downs.

Trained by Steve Asmussen for Heiligbrodt Racing Stable, Lightlightlight rallied from off the pace of the six-furlong stakes to post a half-length win, stopping the clock in 1:11.21 over a fast track.

The bay filly won for the fourth time in 10 starts and moved his earnings to $153,022. Prior to her Fantasia breakthrough, Lightlightlight had placed in three stakes races in Texas and Louisiana. Bred in Louisiana by Liberty Farm LLC from the Dr. Blum mare Cigarlighter, she was a $90,000 2-year-old purchase last year at the Fasig-Tipton Texas Sale.
