Corinthian enters stud in 2008.

Won 2007 $1,000,000 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile S. by 6 1/2 lengths at Monmouth Park.

Won one-mile Metropolitan H. (G1) at four, over GSWs Political Force (G1), Lawyer Ron (G1), Silver Wagon (G1), Latent Heat (G 1), Sun King (G2), Silent Name (G2), and Half Ours (G2).

Won $350,000 Gulfstream Park H. (G2) at four, over GSWs Hesanoldsalt (G3) and A. P. Arrow (G3).

Won first start of the year at four, 1 1/8-mile AOC at Gulfstream, by 9 ½ lengths over Jazil (G1).

Finished ahead of First Samurai (G1), Flashy Bull (G1), and Jazil (G1) in Fountain of Youth S. (G2) at three, but drifted in the stretch and was disqualified from the win and was placed third.

Won first start of year at three, 1 1/8-mile allowance, over Jazil (G1) etc.

Winner and placed second in two starts at two in New York.

Pedigree

Corinthian's pedigree represents a blend of the Classic American sire line of Seattle Slew balanced with the influence of the extraordinary foundation mare *Rough Shod II.

Pulpit, sire of Corinthian, already has been represented by Graded Stakes Winners Tapit (G1), Purge (G1), Sky Mesa (G1), Stroll (G1), Rutherienne (G1), Essence of Dubai (G2), etc. A. P. Indy, sire of Pulpit, is annually a leading sire and has sired more than 100 stakes winners, including Classic Winners Bernardini and Rags to Riches.

The strength of Corinthian's sire line is obvious, but his female family is no less accomplished. Corinthian is out of the Easy Goer mare Multiply, who also has produced Desert Hero, winner of the San Rafael S (G2)., second in the Affirmed H. (G3), and third in the Santa Anita Derby (G1).

Corinthian's second dam, Add, is a stakes-placed, multiple stakes producer, and is a daughter of multiple Graded Stakes Winner and Graded Stakes Producer Number. They are representatives of one of the deepest and strongest families of the American Turf, which has produced dozens of stakes winners, stakes producers, and the leading sires Nureyev and Sadler's Wells, as well as successful sires Thatch and Topsider....[ more ]
