ORIENTATE'S racing career culminated with his 2002 Breeders' Cup Sprint-G1 victory, which served to seal his place as Eclipse Champion Sprinter for 2002.

The Breeders' Cup win capped a five-stakes winning streak for ORIENTATE in which he also annexed the Forego H.-G1, A. G. Vanderbilt H.-G2, Aristides H.-G3, and Smile Sprint H. In his championship year he was went undefeated (6 for 6) at 7 furlongs or less.
