In 1989, Graham Beck purchased Gainesway from
industry leader John Gaines. Mr. Beck has enjoyed great success
breeding and buying Thoroughbreds and is a perennial leading owner/buyer
in his native South Africa. Graham and his son Antony are dedicated
to carrying on Gainesway’s reputation as a major force in
breeding and racing internationally. Gainesway is located on
some of the finest bluegrass land in Kentucky. We encompass 1,500
prime acres of the former Greentree and Whitney farms, with ample
space on some of the most productive land in Thoroughbred history.
This tradition-bound land echoes the past, present and future of
countless Thoroughbred Champions including the first Derby winner
Aristides in 1875.
